Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of television shows. She is an Afghan American actress who was born in Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing her country of birth, her family moved to the US. The family was given asylum and allowed to stay. Her family raised her with sisters who resided and two sisters in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on the television scene through a handful of National Commercials. Ghanizada was portrayed by Chiara in Laura Neri's movie A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of the performance, she was nominated at the Cannes Film Festival for the Best Actress Award. She appeared as an actress in numerous television series, including How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych & Castle. Recent roles include an appearance as a character on the show Blood Shot, (2009) inspired by the science-fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her career in General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of Nightshift saw Ghanizada portray Doctor. Saira Bhatra, a doctor who specializes in holistic healing. In 2009, Ghanizada was Kelly as a Prada sales girl in HBO's Entourage and was a part of the cast of the television show's pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan as well as the executive producer T Bone Burnett.
